Dear Colleague,

Our Association is a National Organisation for Managers, Professionals and others involved in the daily management of Sports & Leisure facilities, both private and corporate. We have been in existence for nearly 50 years and deliver a wide range of services to our existing members. Our education and training programme includes a series of day seminars, plus an annual residential conference in October. 

Next year there is likelihood of members having access to an accredited Management Development Programme (MDP) which has been successfully launched in England.

The Association is also developing links with the British Institute of Sport & Leisure (BISL) to ensure that we are in the most favourable lobbying position to deal with a steady flow of new legislation that might affect our clubs and the way they are run.

Some of our Clubs offer work experience to students in full-time education and Recreation assistants are employed by some member clubs on either a part-time or full-time basis. This can be an ideal way to start a career in the industry as on the job training and day release at a local college may be available.

Our membership includes Managers of large Corporate sites as well as those working in smaller organisations and clubs covering a wide range of facilities. All this adds up to a vast pool of experience that is available for immediate networking.

There are also a number of preferred partners to cater for our varied commercial needs, to set service standards and to take advantage of bulk purchase agreements.
