Employers who hold Fireworks Displays will be affected by the new Firework Curfew which came into force on Saturday 7th August.
The Fireworks Regulations 2004 restricts the use of Fireworks to between the hours of 7.00am to 11.00pm.
The curfew will be extended until 1.00am for some traditional and cultural events, including Diwali Night, the Chinese New Year and New Years Eve. The curfew will begin at midnight on November 5th.
Breaking the curfew may
result in a fine of up to £5,000 and a six month jail term.
